full immersion is best (traveling to mexico, south america, etc). besides that, just being around spanish as much as possible (listening to spanish radio, t.v., doing a conversation 'exchange' with a native speaker, etc.).

check out these sites:

good luck! (buena fortuna!).

watching dora?
my baby cousin learned from that.

..me..
take classes or go to spain/other spanish speaking country, or find people who want to get together and speak. Also try watching movies you know in spanish or reading easy books in spanish. also try things like spanish newspapers, radio and tv.

go to spain..

Well youcan never learn spanish right from a book,
I think you have to learn from the bottom up,
that means staying around spanish speaking families,
and learning little by little,
because every language is getting updated with slang,
and sometimes if you say something you learned,
people will look at you weird because that's not really
apart of the way they talk...
You know what I mean?

I'm learning spanish from a lot of asking questions of native spanish speakers that I work with. If you don't have any spanish speaking co-workers or they don't have the patience to help all the time, then I would look into a computer program to help learn spanish. Computer programs are much better than CD's you listen to in your car. It takes work to go through the computer programs, but learning a new language is not easy. I would suggest Rosetta Stone, but it's pretty expensive (like $200). Another good way is to go to another country where they speak spanish and try not to speak english. It's hard but it's really fun and you can meet some cool people. Learning spanish is not so hard if you have fun with it. Hope that helps. Bueno suerte (translated - "good luck")

i agree. full immersion is best.. or socialize with more spanish-speaking friends =)
