ItÂ´s 21.33 pm here, 6 hours less in New York City; one hour less in London.
About working hours: we do not follow the same working hours in the rest of Europe, mainly due to our lunch, which is our main meal. There are more and more people who keep on saying we should adjust our working hours to the rest of Europe, but itÂ´s difficult:

Shops: usually from 10 am to 1.30pm and from 5 pm to 8.30 pm (our main meal is lunch, usually a 2 or 3 dish meal, thatÂ´s why we have such a long break in the middle).
Big department stores: from 10 am to 10 pm without any break.
Offices: it depends on the office, but usually from 8 or 9 am to 1.30 pm and then from 5 pm to 8 pm. Or from 8 am to 3 pm.
Banks: from 8 am to 3 pm (but to the public from 8.30 am to 2.15 pm)
Schools: primary schools usually from 9 am to 2 pm but there are some from 10 am to 1.30 pm and then two days a week from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Secondary schools: from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm

Right now it's 21.10. The working hours depends on what you do for a living! Generally from 8.00am-5.00pm unless you work in a bar.

I'm not sure about the working hours, but I would assume normal office hours are from 9-5.
Other than that I would think it depends on the job.

I am from Madrid and can tell you that we have siesta from 2pm (14:00) to 5pm (17:00) Now, not everyone goes to siesta, like the other guy said, it depends on what you do for a living. Banks close very early. on weekends they might be open for only 5 hours. depends on the bank but the 5 hours is a norm. need to go to one, try to go from 10:am to 3pm. of course if you just need an atm then no worries. they are everywhere. Most restaurants will be open during siesta time, which is smart because they will get a lot of business. let's say you worked as a receptionist, you would probably work a 5 hour day maybe 6. If you worked in a restaurant... look at a 8 hour day but maybe a long siesta break. so work 3 hours goto siesta for about 2 hours then go back to work for the night. Pharmacies are open all day and night but not every single one is open. Half of them close down but they are scheduled that way, to where one in your neighborhood will be closed during the day and you have to goto the next one in your area, then at night, the one that was closed will be open for the night part of the day. you will always have a pharmacy nearby 24/7 that is open. I wish you put down what you were going to be doing... i would have an exact timeframe for you.

The normal working hours in Spain are usually:
9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or 2 p.m.) then in the afternon:
5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This is for shop hours...
Shopping Centers are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and the employees have 8 hour shifts.
Office workers often have 9 to 5 schedules.
Some places such as bank offices are open from 8:30 til 2 p.m. and do not open in the afternoon...
Official or administrative offices have hours similar to banks.
The work hours in Spain are quite varied, depending on the job.
My husband is a maÃ®tre'D and in summer often has double shifts, working up to 12 hours a day (but this is not really very common).
