In Spain the bullfight is called the Fiesta Nacional (The national Sport).

I'm Spanish and bullfighting is NOT a sport!!! I think it's a crime, but that's another story... It is true that is calles "fiesta nacional" but that term is only used in newspapers, nobody speaks that awful! Besides, "fiesta nacional" means "national party", wich has absolutely nothing to do with sports. I can tell you people here are crazy about football, there is much violence between rival groups after an "important" game. |
