It really depends on weather you are in a small town or a large metropolitan city. Like in most large cities, people in Spain are very open minded. Madrid and Barcelona are very cosmopolitan. Smaller cities and traditional towns are a bit more reserved and traditional. It's not that people would think it's wrong or not approve, just expect lots of stares.
