Weather is a lot better in October - still sunny and great to walk on the beach and rambla - leaves on the trees.
In February it could be quite chilly, when I lived there 2 years ago - it even snowed in February. |

Both can be good months, as look as you're not looking for a beach holiday. February can be a bit nippy at night, but with warm sunshine during the day, but it can also occasionally snow.
The problem with October is that it is the peak month for rain. It can be good - but if you pick the wrong time you'll need an umbrella. |
