Spain enjoys mostly beautiful weather year round, but for the most optimal climatic conditions, there are certain times and seasons when the weather is at its best. Late Spring (April-June) and Early Fall (September-October) are generally the best times to visit Spain. Almost the entire country enjoys mild temperatures during those times, although the upper elevations of the "bosque" regions may get a bit cool. Daytime temperatures will usually be in the 70s F (25C) and evening temperatures in the upper 50s and lower 60s (10-22 C). Summers are usually very spring and fall the best times to go. |

Depends on where you are going. Spain's climate is very diverse and can be divided in the following areas:
* The Northern and Eastern Mediterranean coast (Catalonia, Northern Valencia): Mild summers with pleasant temperatures and relatively mild winters. Relatively moist climate, similar to southern France.
* The South East Mediterranean coast (Alicante, AlmerÃa): Warm summers and mild winters. Very dry semi-desert, rainfall as low as 150mm a year.
* Southern Mediterranean coast (Málaga): Warm summers ,very mild winters. Average yearly temperatures close to 20 degrees celsius (subtropical).
* The Guadalquivir valley (Seville, Cordoba): Very hot and dry summers and mild winters.
* South West Atlantic coast (Cadiz, Huelva): Pleasant summers, very mild winters. Relatively humid.
* The interior tableland: Cold winters (depending mostly on altitude) and hot, dry summers. Relatively dry weather (400-600mm per year).
* Ebro Valley (Zaragoza): Very hot summers, cold winters. Very dry semi-desert climate.
* Northern Atlantic coast (Galicia, Asturias, Coastal Basque country): A very wet climate, with mild summers and winters.
* The Canary Islands: subtropical weather, with mild temperatures (18 °C to 24 °C; 64 °F to 75 °F) throughout the year. Desert like in the Eastern islands and moister in the westernmost ones.
September is likely to be generally warm in most areas. |

I was in Spain (malaga) in September 2 years ago. During the first week of Sept. it was really hot.. nice weather for swimming and all that stuff. After the 10th day of the week, it started being a little cold esp at nights. you could swim in the morning but the water would be cold. |

The weather in Barcelona is pleasant most of the year round. However you'll experience the absolute best weather from May to the end of July. September is also a good month.
August can be hot during the day (sometimes peaking around 34°C, 95F ) so if you love saunas then this is the time of the year for you!
The weather in October and November is still pleasant but starting to get a little cooler (21°C down to 15°C, 69 to 59F). You won't find sunshine every day though, so be prepared for days when it could be overcast with a little rain. |
