In Barcelona there are enterprises which aren't from Spain, and in most of them they're looking for people who speak English fluently and doesn't matter the Spanish, I don't know where are you, but if you're in Spain you may buy a Newspaper and in the business part, you may see information and requirements for that jobs... If you're not in Spain, try to search what British/US business are working now in Barcelona, and try to communicate with them...

I'm sorry to discourage you, but your French is largely irrelevent in Barcelona. Barcelona is a major European cultural hub and as such English is widely understood.

However, there is a difference between visiting as a tourist and living there. If you are not fluent in Castillan/Catalan, you can certainly get by in Barca. However, you can not realistically live there without a command of Spanish. You might be able to procure employment as a tour guide, but other than that you will need to understand Spanish to work there full-time.

There's not much outside of tourism. Because we require that most people are at least fluent in one of the languages. Castilian will work fine if you can learn it sufficiently to communicate with a native speaker. Barcelona is a huge city so there's a greater chance in getting a job only speak Spanish than it is in one of the smaller resort towns.

We prefer that people at least have a passing knowledge of Catalan since it is the official language of the region, but you should do fine knowing English and French if you don't mind working at a tourist venue or something of that sort. Other than that, meh, don't know what to tell you.

Many families are looking for English speaking babysitters / tutors / au pairs to help their children (and sometimes the parents) practice English. (Especially right now as school is starting). You may be able to find a family that speaks English or French, but it is also helpful to know some Spanish or Catalan, in order to be able to arrange the job, and help you with the students who don't know much English yet. Check out the job listings on loquo.com (very similar to Craig's List -- try their Barcelona sight, too) under community> babysitting / elder care and services. You can post for free and it is a popular site for such things.
They also have a section for Language Exchange, where many people post who want to learn English are willing to help you learn Spanish or Catalan in return. This is a great way to learn the local language for free, and meet local people. The 'English Speaking Club' posts here, and sometimes they have outings for families who wish to practice English. This would also be a good way to meet families looking for English speaking babysitters.
