What should I wear in Spain at this time of the year?

I will be in Barcelona starting Sunday and I don't want to stand out as an American tourist.
What about restaurants? Are they expenssive or affordable as they are here?
Any do's and dont's while there?

hi!
i dont wanna put you down, but its quite cold at the moment in spain... am from the south and its been snowing this evening!! so just in case, check the weather www.aemet.es you'll get 17ΒΊ as the highest and 11ΒΊ the lowest on sunday and should get better as the week goes...
if i were you, i would wear comfy clothes, either boots or trainers and a light jacket (at night it might get cooler)
have a look at this website http://www.bcn.es/turisme/english/turisme/welcome.htm to get a deeper idea about what you wanna do, it has different options, as "plan your trip", may be quite helpful!
do as much as u can and enjoy the city, its beautiful!!!!
for restaurants, they are not cheap not expensive, probably same price as in the US, although theres a wide range of varieties you can chose from, of course!! have a look at the menus from the street and chose the one suits you better!!
enjoy your trip!!!

It's going to be hot!

And you'll stand out as an American, no matter what you do.

Wear comfortable, hot weather clothes.

Nothing is as cheap in Spain as they used to be. Things are about the same. If you compare prices, what you pay in dollars there, is about the same as you would pay here.

Average temperature around 48 -- 65 degrees in the Spring. Could go a little lower or higher. I would not call that HOT.

While difficult not to stand out as American, wearing stylish clothes and shoes and not t shirts, flip flops, sneakers or sweatsuits would help.

There are a wide variety of price ranges for restaurants. About the same prices is big city US places.

PS It's 59 there today will be 60 on Sunday see link.

Watch out for pickpockets in the Ramblas.
