What should i bring to Spain? I'm 16? |
I'll be there for 11 days with a group of students from my school.
We will be visiting Madrid, Cordoba, Merida,Seville, Toledo, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Since we are a visiting group we will be walking a lot. We will going out to dinner as well though.
We are not allowed to wear jeans (!)
Would anyone be kind enough to make me a shopping list? I don't exactly know the climate or the fashion in Spain.... Additional Details We are going at the end of March and early April.
I did ask my teacher about what to bring clothing wise. And she was talking about linen pants and loafers and cheapo ugly "practical and touristy" clothes.
I want to look good lol. She says no jeans not because they don't wear them there but because there is a difference between how we wear them. She doesn't want us to look like sloppy americans. What she doesn't realize is that 1) i never wear them sloppily and 2) american teens loooove jeans. |

Your teacher is the one to advise you on what to wear, If you are coming in winter then jeans are what to wear, but if the weather is warm, then the last thing you'll want to wear are jeans. I only wear jeans here in Spain between November and early May.
You are visiting some very interesting places. One of the most underrated cities is Merida, pronounced Merry-dar. It is north of Sevilla (Seville) prounced Seb-ee-ya.
The fashion in Spain is pretty mich the same for the kids, but dressing for an evening out, the young ladies are very smart in their modern Spanish style of dress. They are very chic. |

No jeans!? Whyever not? Certainly, your teacher knows that they wear jeans in Spain?
For fashion, check this out...go to the page called Jóvenes.

For the rest of your questions, you can go to your teacher, or whoever is leading the tour. THEY should have a complete list of what you will need.
The climate is variable, you are traveling through some VERY different climate regions. And a LOT depends on your dates! You don't say WHEN you are going, so we can't POSSIBLY advise you as to what to wear, in terms of weather. |
