The Mar Menor. It is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land only 22 kilometers (14 miles) wide called La Manga del Mar Menor.
Its sandy beach and crystal-clear waters have made it one of the highest regarded tourist resorts on the Mediterranean, a paradise between seas for all types of water sports and activities that can be practiced at its numerous clubs and sports schools.
La Manga offers swimmers the possibility of choosing between the two seas: on one side, the warm placid waters of the Mar Menor, Cala del Pino, El Galán or El Pedruchillo; on the other, the open waters of the Mediterranean with beaches which include Punta del Estacio, Ensenada del Esparto, and Galúa. |
