What station on the barcelona metro/train system is the main one for the city centre? |
I am going this summer and the language school is near the centre, I'm getting the train from the airport to the centre and just wondered what station I need! |

Trains coming from the Airport DO NOT stop in Plaça Catalunya. The nearest station (without having to step down and take a different train) is Passeig de Gràcia (just 5 minutes walk to Plaça Catalunya).

Sants is the main train station in Barcelona, but the center of the city is Placa de Catalunya. To get there, take the (R10) train from the airport, get off at Passeig de Gracia, and take the L3 (Green) metro south (toward Zona Universitaria) 1 stop. Or walk 10 minutes from Passeig de Gracia.

Plaça de Espanya is HUGE! Seems to me everything meets up there!
It isn't as central as Catalunya, also pretty large.
