i took some college classes in spain, the best time well for me was in the fall. Its wonderful in the fall season.

summer or autumn would be the best time. i went last november & it was cold but beautiful. the cost of a 3 star hotel would probably be around $50-100USD depending on location. the hotel i stayed at was REALLY small (i guess all 3 or 4 star hotels are like that in europe) and it was about $65 USD because we were in Sol, the center of Madrid where the nightlife and shopping it.

It dependes on the weather conditions that you want and places you are to visit.
If you like hot weather, go on summer, although the mediterranean coast has a nice weather during winter too. Canary islands are always perfect too.
If you like cold weather do not hesitate to come on winter (center and north of Spain).
If you like going to the beach, anytime in summer is good.
If you like the mountains, any time is good. The north is great and you have all possibilities: hot summer trips or snow winter ones.
If you want a cultural trip, chose a city and enjoy it!!!! Maybe Madrid is the best choice as you also have Toledo, Segovia and Salamanca near and are great places to visit.

spain is best during summer. the beach is awesome. go and have some fun with the people. eat paella and enjoy the sun and sea. a 3* hotel will cost u around 100euros per person per nite. around that price. i love spain and u will surely do.
