The best way to see Barcelona in a few days is to use your feet.
Three days is plenty of time to walk around the main sights.
The main disadvantage of being on a tourist bus, aside from sitting on a bus for a lot of the day, is that you are not walking through the street and you can't take detours when you see something you like. Also you will probably see some great things by walking around and getting a little lost.
Get a map from your hotel reception, get them to circle some places to visit and walk from there. You can always take the metro at some point which will be a lot cheaper and more convenient.
Here is a link to a map (sort of) with the main sights and descriptions. Get a better map from your hotel obviously.
I always start a city break by going on a tourist bus tour. This will help you get your bearings (you can hop on and hop off as you like) and then you can decide what interests you and where you want to spend more time.
Barcelona is a great city - don't forget to do an afternoon at the beach!

Take the tourist bus I think there are three different routes in Barcelona.
Then decide where you would like to visit.
There are some great places to see.
