When going to spain in a hotel what does it mean by a Triple Room?

Triple room means a room that's for 3 persons. For 5 of you, you should get a triple room and a twin room.

Note that most triple room tend to have one double bed (i.e. one bed for 2 occupancy) and a single bed, usually a fold-out bed. It's rare to have 3 single beds in a triple room.

I don't know why you're being given a triple room only. Perhaps they're giving you two triply rooms?

But if so, make sure they're not charging you for 6 person occupancy (which would be a sneaky thing to do) if you're being charged on per person basis - I've heard of places that charge for 3 person in triple room even if only 2 are occupying it because they claim they can't put anyone else in there.

If the room rate is per room basis, then check that the triple room is not more expensive than a double. If it is, then change one of the two triple rooms to a double room.

A room that sleeps three people. It could be a double bed and a sofa bed, a double bed and a single bed or three single beds. You need to ask the specific question but most do a double bed and a sofa bed.

Triple room is with either 1 double and I single bed, or 3 singles. If there are 5 of you then email or call the hotel and question them otherwise you may get charged for 2 triple rooms.

your thinking it's for 3 rooms. it is more likely to be for 3 adult people. look in the brochure and find a double room and a treble room=5

Triple generally means room for three. Kinda says it all.

You should have 2 single beds and a pull down sofa for 3 of the guests AND another room for the other 2 people. There is no way all five of you will be in the same room. Imagine 5 girls trying to use one tiny loo and a shower at the same time.
Get on to the company and clarify your position immediately.

Triple Room means for three people. If you made it clear when booking that would be five people staying, the hotel should have booked the correct number of rooms and notified you. I suspect that, for five people, they will give you a triple room and a double room, or two triple rooms.

It's your responsibility to get back to the hotel and check the booking.
