This is open to discusssion, as out of 761,000 Brits believed to be living permanently in Spain, only 274,000 are, in fact, registered. Of those registered the Valencia region (which includes the province of Alicante) has the most. Next comes the region of Andalucia ( which includes the Malaga province), and then the Canary Islands. Where are the other 487,000? My own guess is that, Malaga province has more of them than the province of Alicante, although it is said that the fasting growing area is around Murcia, which increased it's population of Brits by more than a third in 2006.
If the passenger movements through Malaga & Alicante airports give any clues to answering this question, it would have to indicate that the figures would favour Andalucia region. During 2005, 12,669,019 persons passed through Malaga, compared to 8,795,705 at Alicante airport. And work is currently on-going at Malaga to increase the size of the airport considerably.

Torrevieja and the surrounding areas, there are more Brits in some places than Spaniards.......what a disaster and a shame

I moved to Spain two years ago and I live in the mountains in Andalucia. It's great because I HAD to learn the language.
The Costa Del Sol is heavily populated but I found the area from Murcia to Torrevieja more heavily populated. I have been twice. The only Spanish I spoke was at the toll booth and I was so glad to get home to the mountains which I consider the real Spain.

Costa Blanca and Costa Del sol?because its a great climate all year round.

When I go shopping in Albox, I come to the conclusion that there are only English people living here, I hardly ever hear a Spanish voice, so I reckon the answer to your question is here in Albox.

I have lived here on the Costa del sol for 25 years, its a wonderful life, you are in the center of everything, but within 30 minues drive you can be in the country side - eating in a "venta" - few more hours up in Granada for skiing - never far away from an open market or supermarkets.
True there are lots of ex-pats here, but where I live its very quiet, private, NOT at all a Ole Henry place!! wouldn't live anywhere else.......................XXX

Most of them live on the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol, this is Britland. There are whole urbanisations with english shops, bars, restaurants etc.

I live in Valencia and we have noticed a large number of expats moving here, but now the pace is slowing down.

If you need to work in Spain, you will need to move to Britland to get work.

It has several names starting with its true name, Costa Del sol, costa Del golf and in the past, Some say still. costa Del crime. The sun shines 340 days per year, people do´nt ask questions, material things are not in portent here on the costa so there fore the quality of life is excellent and if you really have to its only a couple of hours cheap flight away from the UK.
