Try British Airways.www.ba.com. Amazingly they are often as cheap as the low costs and you also get free in-flight food and drink, decent legroom and no scrum when you are boarding as you have that old fashioned thing called a seat number.
They go to both North and South airports.

Where are you flying from? Also, remember that Tenerife has two airports. Renia Sofia is in the South near many of the vacation spots (Las Americas, etc). Los Rodeos is the smaller airport in the North which is near the capital city of Santa Cruz and the resort area of Puerto de la Cruz. If you're flying from the United States it is often cheaper to find the cheapest flight to Madrid (try priceline.com) and then look for a seperate flight from Madrid to Tenerife (Iberia, SpanAir or similar). If you're flying from Europe, there are lot's of direct charter flights to Tenerife. FYI Christmas is a REALLY cheap time to fly there, particulary from the U.K. |

Your best bet is to try the cheapflights website as follows:
http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/Tenerife/
I'm not in travel, but I suspect that a 16 year old will be classed as an adult. |
