I live in Andalucia and I have an olive grove right next to my house. In my area close to Granada you can see olive trees everywhere in every direction as far as the eye can see. Then when you drive as far as you can see it still gos on in every direction. Close to Sevilla I've seen huge fields of sunflowers or as they call them in Spain "girasoles".

SUE
All over AndalucĂa. That actually answers both questions.

Seriously, it all depends how much time you have.

If you only have time to see Madrid, Seville and Barcelona, you've got a pretty good representation of Political, Romantic, and Cosmopolitan Spain. (in that order).

Want details? email me. I was just there for a new trip, and have details....I can get you some good ideas.

I spend a lot of time further north in Castilla y Leon, in the Salamanca province .........they also have a lot of sunflowers. They have olives too, but not as many as Andalucia.
