I have been to Mallorca with my wife. We stayed in one of the most exclusive hotels on the island well away from the tourist areas. We were on the edge of the mountains. The scenery was stunning and we were close to the local people. There was hiking in the area and it was just an idyllic place to stay, but I guess you'll want the night life and everything that goes with it.
