Hi Mikey,
This is the #1 newspaper for the Costa Del Sol, http://www.surinenglish.com
Have a look in the nautical section and you will see many boats, yachts etc for sale. It will give you an idea of the asking prices for particular boats. Also if you look through back issues you can see whats sold and whats not.You may be able to make a contact too.
Both Puerto Banus and Benalmadena have well established agencies, I haven't actually seen 1 in Fuengirola but I'm sure there must be one there.
I think this might be quite difficult to set up as there are hundreds of boats with private for sale signs in the marinas and harbours along this particular coastline
Good luck

All the areas mentioned are well established with a number of business already in place. I would take a look at an area called La Cala de mijas on the costa del sol, It has plans and the permission to build the biggest marina in southern Spain. Take a look at the Webb site MarinaMijas.com for all the details or contact Mijas town hall.
Also check out Cabopino a small marina just along the cost from la Cala and only 20 minets from Marbella, great location with lots of expats with money.
Lil' Miss!
Marbella,is where the money is,you can more or less smell it!
Also I noticed fuengirola has a few boats etc...floating about!
Good luck!

The Costa del Sol probably has the most boats for sale and certailnly has the largest selection of brokers who can only be described as the largest selection of 'muppets' in Europe. I have been trying to sell my yacht in Gibraltar & Spain for the past 4 years. Of 6 brokers invited to handle it; 4 never responded, 1 forgot his appointment TWICE, and 1 turned up on time. I ran a yacht brokerage in UK and had up to 160 yachts on my books within 1 mile of my house. The local boatyard gave my a first class service for viewing ashore/afloat & lift-out. You will get little back up on Spain except perhaps in Sotogrande, where the brokers are worst. Forget Spain for starting up a business. My yacht will be moved overland to La Rochelle next month because I'm fed up with the attitude of brokers here, most of whom are Brits. Good luck any way. Ed.

Benalmadena or Puerto Banus. Both have huge marina's and boating enthusiasts.

Toledo which is about as far from the sea as you can get, you would have very little competition.
