Dream On
I'm sure if you really want to witness a poor defenceless animal being taunted, tortured, stabbed, speared and slaughtered in front of your very eyes, the Spanish Tourist Board will be happy tell you all the towns that still allow this savagely cruel "tourist attraction" to continue.

lynn18050
its barbaric and frightening how many people enjoy watching an animal getting slowly tortured.

think about it

an afterthought......
truth is when I see the bull stick its horns into the matadors skinny a.s.s. I am so glad and hope it hurts like hell.

Maybe after reading most of the answers you have aleady been given you might like to go to "bull running" this is where one bull is let out of a cage at a time and is free to roam up and down the street! Spectators are inside lage scafolding like cages but are also free to run along with each bull (at their own risk) The bulls are NEVER miss treated as this is monitored and the bulls seem to enjoy the experience also! Most towns and villages in Spain have a point in the year where they have a fiesta ( A weeks long holiday) and the bull running is usually one of the celebrations they hold!!!
Hope this helps!!
Enjoy Spain!

There are a "plaza" for bullfihts in every town, but the best, with no doubt, is "Las Ventas", in Madrid City.

Also Sevilla and Valencia.

But I hate this horrible spectacle.

I am Spanish.

There are many places you can see bullfights all over Spain, where are you heading?
They are not cheap either, as it depends on if there is a famous matador fighting then the price is high.
If you are thinking of going in the next few months make sure you sit in the shade (sombra) and when you purchase tickets it states sol (sun) or sombra (shade), otherwise you will have a massive headache and sunstroke!
Yes, I agree with some posts here, it is cruel but it is also tradition and many really want to keep this tradition going.

The best place, without doubt, is Las Ventas bullring in Madrid (Ventas metro station). Only the best bullfighters get to fight here, and also the best bulls are brought there. Therefore, you will only see a quality spectacle and the bull will not suffer unneccesarily.
It can be upsetting, but try to go with an open mind and try to enjoy the spectacle as a whole. It is an important part of Spanish culture.
You can buy tickets on the door a few hours earlier, but don't buy them from the guys on the street outside, unless you're desperate. They're not that expensive if you sit up the top. Also SOL seats (seats in the sun) can be alright if the weather is cooler, as the bullfight doesn't start until 7pm, when the sun's on it's way down.
The best times of year to see a bullfight are in May (Feria de San Isidro) and October (Feria de Otono) when there are bullfights almost everyday throughout the month.
Oh, by the way, it isn't a "tourist attraction" as some may believe, you'll hardly see tourists there at all. In fact, tourists would have a hard time understanding, it being such a complicated and important part of Spanish culture.

Hmmm... "The Best Place".... subjective.

The BIGGEST place in Spain (and the second biggest in the world) is La Plaza de Toros in Madrid Las Ventas (web: http://www.Las-Ventas.com ). They typically draw the best bullfighters because it's like the Cathedral of Bullfights in Spain. But all bullfighters make the bullfighting circuit and "perform" (?) wherever they can get paid.

In Seville, the Plaza de Toros de Sevilla, "La Maestranza" (web: https://www.plazadetorosdelamaestranza.com/ ) ,is considered by many to be the prettiest bullring in Spain.

Saludos, MadridMan @ you-know-where!

Ronda, I think.
