Depends on what you are looking for--Marbella & the Canary Islands are nice in terms of beaches & nightlife. My favorite is Sevilla, for interesting nightlife, live flamenco, beautiful architecture, & the Barrio Santa Cruz (maze of narrow streets), but in spring it is a little overwhelmed by tourists. The south has a lot of olive & orange trees, rolling red hills, Galicia is beautiful if you like something more like Ireland--rainy, waterfalls, very green & probably the best seafood. Central is just kind of flat & dry, but does have interesting castles & windmills. I've asked a lot of Spaniards, most say Granada & Sevilla are their favorite cities. |

Andalucia. Here you can go to the beach, visit Sevilla and see the beautiful horses and historical buildings, Ski in the Sierra Nevada. In addition you have the typical white villages, the Arabian baths in Ronda, shopping in Marbella and the culture of Malaga. All in all there's something for eveyone with stunning scenery, a fabulous climate, friendly people and wonderful food. |

Andalucia. My favorite two cities are Sevilla, where I lived for a year, and Granada, which has the most incredible palace!
I'm a bit prejudiced, because I lived in Sevilla. But the warmth, both of the climate, and the people, are not to be missed.
The Moorish influence, in the character of the town, and the architecture, really make it an interesting place, and the romance, Carmen, and bullfighting, and people dance flamenco (actually, not strictly flamenco, but a folk dance that comes out of flamenco) every night in the discos, and it's just really nice. Left a bit of my heart there many years ago, went back recently, and left a little more, as did my son and huband. |

Zaragoza. You can still see the Arabian influence, and more importantly, tourism is not the hyperactive sort experienced further south. It's so close to France and Andorra also. Heaven! |

I'm British and moved to Spain 3 years ago. I live in Andalucia between Málaga & Granada. This is my home now and it is a wonderful place to live. The scenery is stunning and the people are friendly. Nerja is my favourite town on the coast. There is nothing better than sitting close to the beach having freshly BBQ sardines and a glass of wine. The drive from Nerja to Granada via Motril is awesome and stunning.
I feel privileged to be here. |

I think that the best place you could visit is Granada in Andalucia,it´s really nice and there you could go to visit the alhambra but barcelona is very nice too I live in the north of Spain in Bilbao and it´s very nice too but most foreign people says that Barcelona is the best place so that all depends :D |

My favorite part of Spain is the northern coast. I know that's kind of general! I spent the last year in Bilbao, which is in the Basque Country on the Bay of Biscay. It's such an exciting place to be! They have a wonderful culture, their own separate language, and the geography is beautiful. There are lush green hills everywhere you look, and rocky cliffs along the coast. It's not the place to go for "sunny Spain," flamenco, and bullfighting, but I love it! Asturias, Cantabria, and Galicia are great too, and similar geographically. |
