Where should I go in Spain, Portugal and Morocco?

My travel buddy and I are doing a two-week backpacking trip in May in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. We are flying in and out of Madrid. Any suggestions on towns to wander through, tips on transportation, info on specific hostels (or other cheap accomodations) and any other travel information are greatly appreciated!

If you stay in Las Ramblas it's very loud, they do have hostels everywhere, even down the side streets that aren't as loud when it comes to trying to get some sleep.

Barcelona - most visitors stay in or near the Ramblas or in the Gothic Quarter just to the east. This is a good base from where you can explore the city's sights by day including Gaudi's masterpiece, the unfinished Sagrada FamĂlia Cathedral, and Parc GĂĽell in the north. Or maybe visit the 98,000 seater Nou Camp stadium the home of Barcelona football club.

I've spent some time in Spain. If you are looking for a great off the beaten path city, try Toledo. Its virtually the same for the past 400 years. Plus, Its only about an hour and a half south of Madrid, yet it has great old world charm.

In my opinion Spain.
Madrid is nice, Barcelona off course.
Palma and Marron (Minorca) are great as well, but more expensive.
But my favorite city in Spain is Malaga, its amazing, friendly...bithplace of Picasso as well.

Huge question !!

Let me break it down. Top quality research sites to work out where to go are here:

Official Tourism Site via these links:

Spain:http://www.tourismrankings.com/Spain/
Portugal:http://www.tourismrankings.com/Portugal/
Morocco:http://www.tourismrankings.com/Morocco/

If you have any remaining questions send them an email via the links.

Hotels are often better value than hostels because prices are per room [ up to 3 ] not per bed. But it's all here including last minute bargains in these directory pages:

Cheaperthanhotels.com:

Spain:http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com/Spain/
Portugal:http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com/Portugal/
Morocco:http://www.cheaperthanhotels.com/Morocco/
