Castellano is Español. In Spain we use Castellano because there are many regional languages as for Partying
ALL big citys even most small towns will have a good night life, many bars tapas bars & discotecas
BotellĂłn is a GREAT thing that happens on Summer Vacation usually around March but they can be found through-out the Summer
To make it a GOOD Holiday you need the Sun so your limiting your self too the Southen Coast for Garanteed Sunshine as well as historic Culture is the big citys such as Sevilla
Look on http://www.donquijote.org/ they have Spanish Lessons as well as accomodation - I don't know their terms E.G Age but I've seen many people in the South who are on these excursions - If you study Spanish/Español/Castellano at School then their problery is some form of EXCANGE Program
So what you need is to be in AndalucĂa (The whole of the South-For the sun), A LARGE(ER) City so it has some Historic values (this is where you'll find most of the languge schools) and once your in any of these too you can look at some citys by the beach... & their avalibity you can find Great nightlife anywhere in Spain so it should be last behind all your credentials
Edit: The legal age for Drinking IS 18 but it is almost NEVER inforced... you'll be able to Enter many Discotecas/Nightclubs as you all ready know? The main thing to be worried of is English people stealing your bags & Taxi drivers charging you a FORTUNE because your English & Your Drunk (Always agree an APROXIMATE Price first!) |

First...there is no such thing as "catalano".
And, if you want to study Spanish, you can do that ANYWHERE in Spain.
Barcelona is known for it's party life.
So is any place in AndalucĂa. I lived in Sevilla (years ago) and found it to be very party ized. In fact, when I bragged to the head of the Spanish Department at a US university about having gone to Sevilla and having studied at the University there, his esteem for me dropped about ten notches in ten seconds! (he was from Madrid).
"Oh," he said, in a tone that clearly said that wasn't worth noting. "That's just a big party town. You couldn't have gotten any education there." (I did. My esteem for him dropped instantly, as well. Good thing that was the only meeting I had to have with him!).
You could probably choose just about anywhere in Spain, except the islands or the Costa del Sol, and get what you need. I suggest you stick to AndalucĂa.
Hey, 17 is young! Be careful, and don't do anything too foolish! And have fun! |
