As Spanish it is funny for me reading how people write things about Spain without any idea.
In Spain you can find 17 "Comunidades Autónomas", one of them is Cataluña.
Cataluña is part of Spain and they can speak spanish and catalán. IT belongs to Spain.
Spain IS A COUNTRY, very old, maybe older than yours.
Spain was an Empire that last 300 years, one of the biggest in history.
don´t speak about what you ignore. I don´t speak about other countries if i am not sure what i am talking about because i can be considered a stupid. |

Been in most of Southern Spain, some of the region North of Madrid to Barcelona line...lived in Sevilla.
Traveled in Portugal: Algarve and Lisbon.
They do SO speak Spanish in Cataluña! They must. It is part of Spain, and Spanish is the official language that all things national are done in. They ALL speak Spanish, there, except for recent immigrants. EVERYTHING can be done in Spanish. The natives ALSO speak Catalán. They do so out of a sense of pride in the things that are Catalán. They are fiercely independent and nationalistic, but they all speak Spanish. (and Catalán is quite understandable to anyone who speaks Spanish, anyway. Or French. Knowing both helps one to get along quite easily IN Catalán). |

i have been to salou, tenerife, tarragona, barcelona and sevilla.
nice places, i like salou because it has beaches and its not that long and kinda cheap to get to, maby 2 hours. salou sucks though in some ways because you get idiots from britian, and my country going there and they give the place a bad look imo. too many british pubs for my liking.
barcelona is so great, when spains economys recovers i might try live ther.e |
