Some Neanderthal, I think. The first people in Spain were Neanderthal, neolithic cave people.

I suppose his name was Og or something like that.

No one knows the name of the person or if they had a name at all. There have been people in Spain since the times of the Cavemen.

The Basques may be descended from the original inhabitants. Their language is not related to any other in the world.

We have first written registers of Iberia, by greeks and phoenicians

I don't think Spain was ever lost! hehehe...

And you won't find a person's name unfortunately. "Humans" (and by "humans" I mean we Homo Sapiens - whom came just after Neanderthal man, a different species which died off in Europe 30,000 years ago) back then didn't even have names - and they were barely people and could barely speak more than grunts and making gestures! They were just barely walking upright, in fact.

Homo Sapiens, or "people", have inhabited the Iberian Peninsula since there have been Homo Sapiens shuffling along the earth's surface.

I like your question though. It certainly provokes discussion on many levels.

Saludos, BarcelonaMan

Miss Mountain
My great-great grandfather.
Only joking, have a great day!
