Yeah...Wikipedia, Tourspain, Sispain, Spaininfo. Really great places to find that information...You could also just put the questions into your search engine and see what comes up...probably the answers. That's what computer search is for.

But, OK, I will give you some answers :

1 - Euro
1 US dollar = 0.76 â‚¬
1 â‚¬ = 1.31 US dollars

2 - Historical Places : Spain is full of historical places. Hundreds of them considered World Heritage by UNESCO.

- The Iberian peninsula was part of the Roman Empire, there are Roman monuments all along Spain, but Merida and Tarragona are the most important cities in Roman culture.

- During the 8th century AD, it was conquered by the Arabian EMpire, and later it became and independent muslim state.
Its capital was Cordoba ( here there is a big ancient mosque ), and another important muslim town was Granada ( here you can see the Alhambra ).

- Muslims were in Spain untill the 15th century.

- When the Cristhians re-conquered the peninsula during the Moyan Age built a lot of castles in Castilla.

- From the 20th century we have the famouse painter Pablo Picasso, or the architect Gaudi ( Sagrada Familia in Barcelona ), or the painter Salvador Dali.

3- Popular food
Our main typical product is the OLIVE OIL ( despite most people in America and Britain thinks it is Italian ).

Some typical foods : paella, Spanish ommelate ( 4 more info search in google )

6 - The country was united when the queen of Castilla Elisabeth II and the king of Aragon Fernando II got married, and then conquered the kingdoms of Navarra (north) and Granada(south, lasts muslims ). They finished in the year 1492.
They also conquered later the Canary Islands and America.

Spain was occuped, in 1808 by France ( NapoleÃ³n ), but they had to retire 6 years later.
