Who like bullfighting? |
Don't you guys think that bullfighting is a cool sport?
I know a lot of people are of the idea that it should be banned. Additional Details Oops! It seems I made a grammar mistake - the question was meant to be "Who likes bullfighting?" but I forgot the third-person "s". Sorry! |

I think your culture makes a big decision if you're in to bullfighting. I personally enjoy it, which is weird because I'm in to animal rights. I am Spanish though, so not sure if that has something to do with it. |

I'm always hoping the bull will tear the matador to shreds befored it's killed. At least it would then be a fair fight!
Killing an animal just for the sake of killing makes no sense to me. And there is no skill involved in killing a bull that's stunned through extreme fear and immense pain. |

Although it's a part of the rich Spanish culture, I really don't agree with it.
I once went to a bullfight in the early 1980's while on holiday & I hated it.
I know it's seen as barbaric but, I don't see it being banned in Spain over the next few years.
I would also imagine that it's probably enjoyed more by people aged 60+ as they've grown up with watching bullfighting over the years.
I imagine younger people will now see it as a cruel sport & I don't think many young Spanish lads would want to end up being a Matador?
If people don't like it then they'll decide not to go & watch it, they'll also decide not to watch it on tv (although, I think it's not as popular to be shown on tv now).
I do know though that if bullfighting was classed as a sport here in the UK, it would've been banned years ago & the general public wouldn't have had any say in the matter. |

I think that it´s a tradition, but it should be changed in some parts, not killing the bull making him suffer. |

Most bullfighting aficionados are Spanish, though there are a few foreigners who really get it.
And many Spaniards have taken the point of view that it is cruel, but it should be noted that the roots of bullfighting go back many thousands of years. And just getting rid of a tradition with that sort of background isn´t really that easy.
And the pageantry is pretty cool, and it is something that I recommend people think about doing while they are touring. Everyone ought to experience it once in their lives. But only if they think they can stomach it. We saw one last year that was more than the usual bloody! |
