Don't depend on other people's opinions. Form your own. Go with a positive attitude and enjoy yourself, something you can do wherever you go if you only want to. |

Benidorm tries to have something for everyone, so there are always going to be some people who only want it to be exactly right for them!
Whist it does depend what sort of thing you enjoy, the weather, while not being "sweaty hot, I must dive in the pool" temperatures, should normally be much nicer than back in the UK. ( December norms: Max 22º ; High 19º - Low 8º Rain 1.9cm)
There are loads of hotels, and all the big ones put on entertainment for their clients, plus clubs and bars aplenty. Although some of the tourist businesses take a winter break, Benidorm has built a reputation as a winter resort so there is plenty to do. The average age of the holidaymakers is probably a bit higher than in the height of summer, as there are many who go for some months, it being almost as cheap to get long-term full or half board accommodation as it would be to heat a house in the UK and feed oneself. I should hope you will all have a good time, and it will be a lot cheaper than going to the Caribbean! |

trust me, i have lived here for 21 years celebrating xmas out and about! You are gonna have a great time. tell you what, don´t vote best answer until you come back but I can assure you, it´s great. Send me an email if you want and we can go for a drink when you are over. That way i can personally help you out if you need, but you won´t! Xmas is low season that means more attention from your hotel personel and reps and the streets are just right for families to stroll by the beach.
You got so many reviews because people like to think their personal experience is extendable to everyone. It´s not the same coming around on your own, with your mates or with your family. I am being totally objective. Benidorm is a town made for families and for special occasions, such as xmas. |

Because some idiots have been there and they are voicing their opinions, and others have not, but want the two points. I live an hour from Benidorm ( please not the spelling) It is not as nice a place as it used to be, Xmas there is really geared now for the pensioners who come on long residential type breaks for 6 or 8 weeks at a time over the winter. A lot depends on where you are staying, if you are booked into Levante, then its full of the big hotels and they will be full of the pensioners, and spanish ones as well. If at the Poinente end, that is the predominantly gay area, very nice bars and restuarants but night life is geared for the gay community |

I agree with Flunkywom, got it all in there, except the bit no-one lets you in on, you may get mugged! then a visit to the police for a few days on the run, as all you'll get is Manyana!
Good Luck |
