I have to second that about the difference in pollution. I was surprised last year to see how many biodiesel places there were, and hybrid taxis, and alternative fuel busses, and electric windmills all over! Highly advanced on the lowering pollution front!
Or, it could be olive oil and garlic if you're near food places. I had a classmate who had nightmares about olive oil because it seemed like EVERYTHING was cooked in olive oil.
