I see ur point here... many people watch bullfighting especially tourists so that's probably why it's still going on: money.

In other countries they also do horrible things to animals... but i guess people just remember bullfighting in Spain...

It's also a cultural thing... hopefully time will pass and our ways of seeing things to..

Because people have been watching such spectacles for thousands of years...it's about pitting man against a stronger and unpredictable animal.

And then there is the natural tendency of human beings to want to torture lesser beings, including other humans. If you need proof, look to Iraq right now. It's everywhere. Many of us have been taught to hate it, but it IS part of human nature. And, FYI, it is less and less important to Spaniards...more of a touristy thing as the younger generation comes to think of it as less of a sport, and more a form of torture.

Honestly, we went to one about a year and a half ago, and it was mostly old men, and a few American students. It's really slowing down!

Why do people like Boxing ??
You punch another man in the face... brake his nose... but that's not an entertaining sport is it ??

Why do people like thing's like Fox hunting... ??

Why do people like... WWF... but have changed their name to WWE (Even if it is all fake, what I think) You still hit people over the head with a chair

It is a "sport" I don't like also and I think it has been banned in Barça except for special occasions ?? But... I'm not sure, I think I've read that in the Newspaper Gara a while ago.

Why are people obsessed with killing people and animals ?? It happens every day, many countires have charaties, a well know one is PETA (Personas por la ética en el trato de los animales)
But also thousands of cats, dogs... all pets are abused every day. maybe it is Human nature to be crewl to animals... this topic should be moved, Spain... France... Many South American countries have Bull Fighthing, but you'd need a more LIBERAL answer maybe try in the Pets section

People like the fact that someone is risking there life to entertain them

I can assure you that in Barcelona if tourists did not attend the bullfights, the ring would have closed for goods many years ago because practically nobody else goes there apart from them.
