Moaning about the weather is English smalltalk and a kind of social grooming.

Generally the British idea of a hot summers day is about 25 degrees which is what we are used to, anything above that, like it has been this year and its just too hot, as in Spain. Add humidity in to the equation and even I dont stop moaning, nothing worse than a hot sticky sweaty day ugh ! As for the sea and waves, I can spend hours in it great !Attitudes are changing now thou with more people travelling abroad

wave
err, we don't. Well I don't, hopefully this answers you question.

Because they are idiots! Not only is it the tourists that do that, but my neighbour here, he moved here in February, and has done nothing but moan about the heat all through the summer, stays inside his apartment all day everyday and looks pale weedy and insipid through lack of sunshine!

I don't complain on holiday, I love my holidays in the sun and you will find me in the sea at least 3 hours a day, thank you.

YA is a sham
"if the sun don't show we'll get a tan from standing in the English rain"

Not all Brits are like this i go for the sun and thats all i can lie in it all day with out moaning.

Because the favourite past time of every Brit is complaining.

Because you are annoying and keep out of our country always steeling things come back Germans they were nice could just leave your bag on the beach and no one would take it all I can say is I am glad I do not like Sand so swim off the rocks

Because British people are known to be the world's biggest bunch of moaners, they are never happy. I hate the 'its too hot', 'its too cold' types, shut up and get on with it. I'm sad to say I am British...What a reputation to have thrust upon you.

Because obviously we are not happy unless we cannot walk from sunburn which prevents the swimming etc. Mad dogs and Englishmen....

Seriously - are we going to sterotype like this?!!!!!! Could be dangerous!!!!

Because Brits are happiest when they are moaning and miserable.
