I should hopefully be booking a holiday to spain with a few friends.. we are all 16, but are mature.... Would the hotel bars serve us alcohol? because i heard that the legal drinking age in spain is very lenient, Would i even be able to book a hotel there? |

I went to spain when I was 16 and trust me, I look younger. I got served in my hotel & in local shops. In my opinion you're more likely to get served in the local shops/supermarkets so don't worry if you don't get served. Grab you'reself a bottle nd head to the beach/hotel room. |

to be honest, I think it depends entirely on where you'll be going. I went to Magaluf (for example) when I was 16, and we drank every night, and my brother was even younger, although he looked older.
I live in Barcelona, and while you would be allowed to drink in a restaurant with your parents, some places might refuse you, just as they don't want you getting drunk and rowdy amongst the other diners (I'd be inclined to say the same for most hotel bars) but you might not have a problem in some of the bars.

legally, they can't. But if you look old enough you will be served. If you don't and you're asked for your documentation, they wont. |

I thought tou had to be over 18 too travel abroad or accompanied with an adult, you parents must be mad letting you go abroad at your age!
But yes you will probably get served, and be good boys while you are there and don't drink to much ! |
