See website below for listing of Spanish Consulates in the U.S. You may contact a consulate to get info on a WORK visa, and on immigration and citizenship. Even if you marry Spanish national, I am sure you would have to apply to immigrate, then go thru the citizenship pathway. This information is not given on the Embassy website. Most countries do offer some advantage to spouses for immigration. A work visa will not be easy to obtain, and you will most likely have to have a job lined up first in order to get one. Immigrating to any foreign country is a lon=complicated process. Best to talk to a consulate officer.

You can get the spanish citizenship if you get married with a spanish women or men, and you must be in marriage two years.

You do not get automatic citizenship if you mary in Spain, even if it is to a Spanish citizen..... I am British and i married a Spaniard, we live in Spain and i am still a foreigner , although our three children can claim citizenship of both countries, i am allowed to live and work in the country but as a foreign resident....in order to claim Spanish citizenship i must renounce my British nationality which i am not prepared to do. Even if you are born in Spain you are not Spanish unless your parents are.- the parents are foreign- the baby ,s foreign. You can find a job in the tourist areas-the costas- without speaking spanish although it is always better to learn if you plan on staying long term.If you belong to the EU, you can work no problem....but if you are from a country outside the EU...you might find it hard to sort out the paperwork needed to work....if you didn,t know there i LOTS of red tape involved in everything....it drives me bonkers

only if you married a spanish citizen. fluency in language always helps. people tend to be more convinced of your desire to work if you can communicate with them and their customers.
