Any tips to search for low-budget accomodations/hostels in Switzerland?

I plan to visit Bern, Lucerne and Geneva. Any possibility to find a cheap accomodation or cheap-ER accomodation in any of these cities? Because it does seem like the word 'cheap' is one to use in Switzerland.

and that's old old cliche about expensive Switzerland. neighbouring countries are about the same but Switzerland has not yet lost its reputation for being expensive.

Stay at a Hotel called Hotel Alpenhoff. Its up in the mountains, and honestly a beautifull place to stay, and pretty affordable.

Quite correct - i use to rely on Swiss cab drivers at the train stations to take me to budget hotels - very dependable.
