Switzerland has changed its entry procedures since December 12, 2008. The visa issued by Switzerland are Schengen visa now which are valid for 24 other European countries also. Therefore the requirements may have changed and are different from your previous application.
In general you may stay for up to 90 days within a six months period totally in all Schengen states on a tourist visa.
Schengen countries are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
So if you have not used up your 90 days you may feel free to apply for a Schengen visa issued by Switzerland at any time.
