Application to Switzerland?

I am a South African and my husband has been offered a job in Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a British citizen. How easy will it be and how long would it take for me to apply for residency and work permit? I am in South Africa at the moment and not sure of the process. Thanks!

As long as you are able to show proof of marriage there should be no problem. A wife is usually given the same visa permissions as the husband for living in the country while the husband is working (children too).
The company that is offering your husband the job will help him acquire the proper papers. All he needs to do is to tell them he is bringing you with him.

What country are you a citizen of? If it is the UK then you should be able to work there without any problems as Swizerland has a free movement of persons provisions in the Swiss-EU Treaties. If you are south african then it may be a little more complicated however but your husband being a citizen of the EU makes things much easier.
