I live in Bern.
On sunny days you have a great view of the alps. There's the old city with it's covered sidewalks ("Lauben"), the Münster (big church), the animal park near the river, and of course swimming in the river (Aare) in the summer (on hot days it's packed!)

Being the capital of Switzerland, Bern has a lot of politicians working at the Federal Palace....lots of fun.

The casino is pretty fun! Also, the Astronomical clock and the old part of Bern is interesting. It is the oldest covered shopping area in the world (UNESCO World Heritage Site). There is also the Bear Park across the river, and the fountains that run through the old town.

On other parts of Switzerland, Zurich is cool, Lucerne is like a postcard. Basel is very interesting, the Alps are incredible (Rhone area and Sierre/Crans Montana). Neufchatel, Biele, Lausanne and Lugano are also cool!
