I guess the question is(sorry) have you ever backpacked before? Also you are in mountains, the higher you go the less air there is, it gets thinner. Basically, you have to be in some what good shape. I would buy some good shoes designed for hiking, buy now start wearing them so they be will broken in some what. I light weight pack that fits your body, canteen,(holds drinking water) a couple pair of good wool socks. They will cushion your feet & will keep them dry. You will need something to hold your food in also. If you go to a sporting goods store, tell them what exactly you will be doing, they could set you up, to make sure I didn't leave anything out. Oh, make sure you have sun block, a good pair of sun glasses & a hat. Have fun & be safe, do you yodel by the way? |
