Birthday cake in interlaken? |
Hello,
My husband and I are travelling to Swiss next week and my hubby's birthday falls when we are staying in Interlaken. Could someone suggest a place to order birthday cake from? I was thinking of a surprise party , so are door deliveries to hotel common in Switzerland shops? Any pointers greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot! |

My favorite cake of all times is the Black Forest Cake from this swiss grocery store (Migros). I checked out the site and found that the branch in Interlaken does deliveries. You just have to place your order five days before your birthday party!
They have a large selection of cakes and a catering service. And you can place your order online : http://www.partyservice-migrosaare.ch/ps/ps_bestellungen.htm
In comparison to bakeries that are usually small (especially in Switzerland), they have much fresher and reliably good tasting products. Have fun!! |

Schuh Chocolate shop...thats the gr8st shop i visited on my trip...
you can have chocolates and delicious pastries as well as get a nice cake for ur hubby ...it is opposite Hotel Metropole on the street Hoheweg...

Door deliveries are not common in Switzerland (only Pizza & stuff).
But as mentioned above, if you need something delivered just ask at your hotel. If there are any delivery services they will know. And if there are none they might know a bakery that delivers upon request or they even go and get your cake themselfs.
Might be expensive though, so ask for the costs before you order anything. |
