Can't recall name of a Swiss hotel, outside of Lucerne?

A few years ago i stayed in a hotel, about an hours drive or so outside of the main metropolis of Lucerne, Switzerland and its killing me that i cant remember the name of the city/hotel. It was a very small village.. i remember it had huge green rolling hills that were very steep and one of them had a sign with the name of the city just like the hollywood sign in LA. I remember there was a clock tower and thats about it. We didnt see one single person out on the street when we got there, it was very odd. What i do remember is that the hotel was divided into 2 buildings, one on either side of the street but it was still a modest little hotel. I'm hoping someone might have stayed here before and they know exactly what im talking about? Any help would be great! thanks
