Can you get along well in switzerland with english language?

I have plans for a long stay in switzerland can I get along well with english or should I learn a little of useful german swiss?

No, you won't get along well with English unless you only plan to do tourist things. How well do you think a Swiss person coming to your town would get along if they tried just speaking German?

Learn some basic German (please, thank you, numbers at a bare minimum) or the language which is spoken in the relevant part of Switzerland (might be French or Italian) and you're far more likely to find people who are willing to switch to English when you get stuck. Expect everyone to speak English and you'll find that mysteriously none of them do.

Yes, you should try to pick up some of the language, however, I have been to Switzerland 9 or 10 times and I can get along fairly easy with just english. If you are polite, maybe try a little of the language, depending on which part of the country you are in, you will find the Swiss very pleasant and nice people.
