This is hands-down the best rental site I have used while living in Geneva. It gives quotes from all providers and is just plain cheap - http://switzerland.rentalcargroup.com/.

Be aware that from 1st May to 4th June the minumum rental is 7 days. Other than that, no real catches.

They don't appear to have much in the way of vans though (I've always hired sedans!). For example a Volkswagen - Caravelle (9 seats) is 225CHF a day which seems high to me (a standard sedan is about 50CHF per day). Shop around I guess, looking at the sites suggested by the others.

Some advice - it is always so much cheaper to rent from the airport rather than the agency offices in town! It's easy to get to the airport by bus or train and it links directly to the freeway for going to France or Laussane.

One other tip - if you are returning the car from the direction of Laussane, the last service station before the airport for you to refill the car is on the right-hand side about 40 km from Geneva - sorry, I can't remember the name - fill there or you will have to go into town and then back out to the airport. A real pain if you aren't familiar with the roads.

Good luck.

Ever heard of Easy Jet? Easy also rents cars, their website address in English for Geneva, where you can get a personalized offer is: http://www.easycar.com/car-hire/location/Geneva.aspx

Additionally, if you do a search with "car rental in Geneva", you'll get many more of such links.

Good luck and happy travelling!
