Cheapest Hotel/hostel in Luzern, Switzerland and what is the fare?
Im travelling to Luzern this summer and i need to find the cheapest hotel or hostel there, cus my budget is limited. But also i need something safe and clean.
safe and clean are all of the hotels but they aren't cheap if you want to stay in a hotel located in the town, below $100 per night you will hardly find anything and you have to book early.

We are also staying in Lucerne in August this year! We are going to be staying at the Tourist Hotel in Lucerne. We chose that one because it was the cheapest one offereing a double bed (my husband and I are travelling together).
The cheapest fare for this hotel is in the 10 bed mixed dorm for $35 (USD) but we're paying more for a double room.
I used the website http://http.www.hostelworld.com for my enquiry as it gave me lots of info and reviews from real people. I've put the specific link for Lucerne down the bottom if you would prefer to just click on that!

Lots of hotels there. Swiss Tourism Office should be a good start to get info.
Also they charge per person (most hotels - not per room).
but figure around $60.00 per night on the low end.
It is summer and tourists season.
