The US Green Card does not count as visa waiver any longer since Switzerland has joined the European internal border-less travel zone based on the Schengen Agreement. The visa requirement is solely dependent upon your citizenship. If you hold a passport of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Macao (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Singapore, South Korea, USA, Uruguay, Vatican City, and Venezuela you may visit the European travel zone to include Switzerland for a stay of 90 days in 6 months as a tourist. If you hold a passport of the European Economic Area you may travel to Switzerland freely without limitations.
If not you will have to apply for a Schengen tourist visa valid for 25 countries at the Swiss Consulate which covers the state you are residing.
