No, we have more tests than one in a semester. It depends on the subject how many, though. Most teachers make as many tests as there are lessons in a week. For instance, we have four maths lessons per week so there are four math tests per semester. Sometimes they concern more than one theme, though. Just what we have looked at in class since the last test. Usually we have about two tests per week throughout the whole semester (but it may well be that there is a week without any tests or one with three or even four). It's really stressful sometimes!
hope this answers your question! I go to school in zurich, switzerland. I attend a Gymnasium there. It's kind of the highest level of education you can get (there are four levels) and when you've finished the Gymnasium you can go to university. I am 16 now and have still two and a half years to go... |

All true what Liineli said, plus we don't have anything like exams at the end of a semester. It's the tests throughout the semester that count for grades. Although at the end of Gymnasium we have huuuuge tests on everything we learned so far. |
