Does Switzerland use open Train Ferries anymore? 1950's type train?
I'd like to find some good pictures of vintage Train Ferries, these are flat-car type trains, with a greenhouse tubular structure, and automobiles drive on, and people ride the train in their automobiles to cross the mountains quickly in bad weather. I've found almost NO reference to these Train Ferries on the Internet, but 2 modern pictures did pop up, but with covered flat cars.
yes, they are still in use on the Furka and the Loetschberg railways, but pictures are very rare.
