Nope, there isn't any hotel directly in the Zurich (ZRH) airport. Sorry for that. However, there are two hotels very close to the airport (not much more than 5 minutes ride by free airport shuttle service). One is the Hilton (www.hilton.de/zuerich), the other one Mövenpick Hotel (http://www.moevenpick-hotels.com/en/pub/your_hotels/worldmap/zuerich_airport/overview.cfm). If you and/or your mum are willing to travel a few more minutes by taxi, you'll find more hotels in the nearby village called Kloten; e.g. Hotel Allegra (http://www.hotel-allegra.ch/index.cfm?Page=000&CFID=3221710&CFTOKEN=63141045), Hotel Fly away (http://www.hotel-flyaway.ch/index.cfm?Page=000&CFID=3221715&CFTOKEN=88121423) or Hotel Welcome-Inn (http://www.hotel-welcomeinn.ch/index.cfm?Page=000&CFID=3221723&CFTOKEN=44634621I).

Happy landing and welcome to Zurich anyway :-)

If there is one, it's very well hidden. It's not on the airport website and I've been to Zurich airport dozens of times and never seen it.

Infact there IS an brand new Hotel directly in the Airport - the Radison SAS.

It just opened at August 1st.
It is the only Hotel within the Airport area - direcly opposite of terminal 1.

However, its not on international territory, so you would still have to go through the passport check.

Have a look at:

There are no hotels in the airport, there are however, two very good ones about two minutes away. You can use a taxi, or shuttles to get you there. One is the Hilton, and the other is Movenpick. I have stayed in the Movenpick, and it is excellent value for money as well as very close to the airport.
