Gifts to bring to hosts in Switzerland...?

Hi,
I am going to Switzerland this summer for my friend's wedding. I will be staying with my friend, her husband-to-be, and their two children. I want to take them nice gifts -- something they can't easily obtain in Switzerland -- to thank them for letting me stay with them. I live in Hawaii. Any ideas? What would YOU want me to bring you if I was visiting you? Thanks! :)

Consumables are always the best gifts in my opinion.

Most people NOT from Hawaii might put the gifted wooden art/craft in the closet soon after you leave because it won't "go" with their decoration.

Cans of macadamia nuts, while they can likely get them in the supermarkets, are GREAT gifts. Not easily found, surely, are those yummy baked tarot chips. Man, those are good snacks. Cans of guava juice would be nice. How about dried kelp! It's good although it doesn't sound very appetizing. A few bags of your local coffee would be a great idea too.

Saludos, BarcelonaMan(.com)

is there anything in your culture for a long happy life ...my freinds went there for their honeymoon and came home w/ some real nice stuff.....and i swear there was something there for a properus life together....the palm weaved baskets are awesome...and the pineapple is like no pineapple i have ever tasted before...or how about some hand crafter jewelry

my husband's family live in Switzerland and each time I go there they have the same wishes: mangos, papayas and pineapples. besides that, I think you can take some handicraft from Hawaii, wooden gifts or some typical decoration with seashells and stuff like that.

well, what about a couple of passport wallets? they're pretty nice and very practical too. when they'll be visiting you, they'll be making good use of your passport wallets. what about that? here are good designs for one: http://www.executivegiftshoppe.com/passportholders.html
