Any ski-resort should do it. If you wanna visit a city like that you should go to Lucerne. It's small enough to be countrylike but it has its city-like areas too. And there are many ski facilities nearby (e.g. Engelberg). |

Just last summer, I had a chance to stay 6 weeks in Switzerland.
It is SO beautiful, and my friends who live there showed me the WHOLE country!!
My favourite mountain places are in the Valais (french part,) and Heidiland, or Graubunden. That's in the east. In summer, the high mountain areas are green with stunning purple flowers! It has a ski lift, and people ski there.
Another place where my friends like to ski is the Chasseral.
It lies right between the German and French speaking parts.
It has lower mountains, but is just as beautiful. I liked the canton Jura.
Oh, and Mt. Pilatus is a must-see! I don't think you can ski just there, but it is on the way to Luzern. You can hike there, and the top is STUNNING!
Okay, well, have a lovely time!
I hiked in the Kandersteg, and it is stunning as well. :)
I gave you a link for that.
Have a lovely trip!!
(i'm soooo jealous!) |

Honestly the most beautiful place I have ever been in the world was Valle Maggia, Switzerland. It is beautiful and it has it all. Mountians, waterfalls, and the old town plus some new. Another good place is Lugano for more of a city feel. Lugano is right on a huge lake and it is the main center of a lot of things. However, if you are really looking for some awesome nightlife, go to Zurich! It's great!
Now, for a place your talking about I would try Basel, Switzerland! Peaceful, Mountyians, and skiing all in one place! They even have cabins you can rent!
Have a great time! =) |

Lausanne is beautiful, but u shouldnt stay longer than 2 days cos it gets a bit boring after a while.
Geneva is quite international, nearly everyone speaks english.
Zurich is Posh but also open minded.
Berne is Boring.
Basel is very lively.
Lucerne has a good Nightlife. |
