There's a direct train once an hour (four minutes past the hour) from Zurich Flughafen (airport) to Basel SBB (that's the main Basel train station)--by direct I mean you don't have to change trains; it does make other stops. Otherwise you have to go to Zurich HB (Hauptbahnhof, main station) and then change to the train to Basel. (twice an hour)

From Basel SBB you take the bus (sorry don't know the number) to the airport, it's a 15-minute ride and comes at least every 20 minutes. The bus is to your left about 100 or 200m when you step out of the main door of the train station. Don't cross the street--those are just the trams!

Cost is 40-odd franks; be sure to specify Basel Airport rather than Basel train station and you want to travel through Frick NOT Olten.

There! More specific than the SBB site wasn't it? That's if you're flying out of the Basel side. If you're flying out of the Mulhouse side, you may have to take a train from the French part of the train station--that I don't know.

Edited to add: By the way, the train station is right under the Zurich airport.

buy a ticket from the ticket office at Zurich Airport and hop on the train that says Mulhouse on the front!

Why dont you log into Zurich Airport and search train information ???
